Andrea Hughes BSc (hons) MNIMH MCPP

Andrea is the consultant Medical Herbalist at Avalon. She graduated from the respected College of Phytotherapy (University of Wales) with an Honours Degree in Phytotherapy (Herbal Medicine) and is a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists and The College of Practitioners of Phytotherapy.

Andrea has been in practice at Avalon Health Centre since 2003 and as well as consultations offers seminars and workshops in Herbal Medicine. She has talked a number of times on both Splash FM and Southern Counties Radio and has written articles for publication.

As a qualified Holistic and Clinical Aromatherapist, since 1997, Andrea has great experience in the field of complementary health. She graduated from the Institute of Traditional Aromatherapy and Herbal Medicine (ITHMA) a course accredited by the IFPA.

Whilst studing for her degree in Herbal Medicine, Andrea worked as a dispensary technician at Ainsworths Homoeopathic Pharmacy and was involved in the manufacture of both Homoeopathic Medicines and Bach Flower Essences.

Andrea is currently studying for a Degree in Nutritional Medicine.
