Elderflower

After the rain today, the distinct aroma of Elder Flowers infused the air up on the downs!
You would be forgiven for thinking that this Herbalist spends all… her time out in Nature!
I do have Clinic’s and a dispensary to run, but I do also have a dog, hence the wonderful daily walk’s!

Plantago

A beautiful Sussex morning up on the south downs, I took the opportunity to gather some of the extremely abundant and lush ribwort plantain or Plantago lanceolata.
An extremely useful herb, plantago can be mixed with elderflowers, eyebright and chamomile to make a tasty and effective hayfever tea.  Here it’s action is anti- histamine and anti- allergy.
